Sammivik is a Greenlandic (kalaallit) word, which means direction/course. With Sammivik Consult I strive to provide a direction in my work that draws on my knowledge, experience, and background in an Arctic context.
Please note that since I started working full-time as a Special Advisor for Oceans North Kalaallit Nunaat I have very limited activities in Sammivik Consult.
My consultancy is based on my extensive experience with policy interfaces between science, policy and Indigenous Peoples' rights and interests, Indigenous knowledge, environmental issues, public speaking, fundraising, and outreach. My background as an Inuk from Greenland adds to my knowledge about the Arctic, Greenland and Inuit issues.
